Service

Offering a one-to-one personal service ensures communication is at a paramount level between all parties involved. You will have the same member of our team to work closely with you on your publication for every issue. This helps our team member to understand your magazine – faster.

Our whole service is geared up to meet your expectations. With the tools of broadband, e-mail, FTP and PDF means you could be at the other end of the country, or the other side of the world, and we would be working as if we were in the office next door!

Once magazine pages have been created and designed a PDF proof can be sent to you by e-mail. Acrobat Standard and Professional will allow you to make sticky-style notes to the proof so when you e-mail the PDF back we can make the amendments to the actual artwork as soon as your e-mail is received.

After all the pages have been approved we will create a compliant PDF file for commercial printing and upload directly into the printing companies RIP server via IP. The technology now allows us to handle the pre-press remotely.

What if you spot a last minute mistake? No problem. We can amend the error over-the-phone and send up the replacement page(s) again directly into the RIP server via IP. The server automatically imposes the pages and then produces the plates.

Talking to us…

We never answer the phone ‘Hello, The Magazine Production Company’. Why? Two reasons. Firstly we prefer to use our own names, as we believe in the personal touch; and secondly, some of our publishers do not wish to broadcast they are outsourcing their magazine production. Instead, displaying a direct dial number perceives to the advertiser they are calling straight into the right department with their enquiry – in essence is true.

This also extends to email addresses. Any emails that come in under a particular magazine name is replied with the publishers’ details in the signature and not ours.

This attention to detail in communication allows us to liaise directly with your advertisers without sorting out everyday advertiser or contributor issues without involving advertising sales or the editor to pass a message on.
