The RAC is a UK breakdown recovery service. RAC members have access to a range of driving service and products ranging from breakdown cover and car insurance to car buying/selling service and latest travel information.
The company is always seeking effective ways to provide communication to the public but also keeping its own internal team updated with business, service and product information.
Approached by a member of the RAC Press Office, their aim is to publish a regular in-house magazine for their staff across their Walsall, Manchester and Bristol sites.
Working with a company of this stature, they were still mindful of costs but very much appreciate the effective communication that would be offered by rounding up relevant and informative content and distribute it as a compact magazine.
With our aim to keep costings as effective as possible, the idea was to design, produce, print and deliver to three UK locations a handy publication on a suggested budget of 50p a copy.
The public relations team were able to supply quality content with ease alongside professional images which would aid in keeping costs down.
The client supplied finalised content which enabled us to complete the production within a few days before approving for print and delivering the magazines around five working days later. The final unit figure for each copy (including production, print and delivery) was under 40p per copy saving 20% off the original budgeted target.
This is an in-house publication for the staff at the RAC providing an informative read designed to be digested over a digestive biscuit and a cup of tea during breaks.
Communication is key and what better way to convey it than in a magazine.
