About City Lit Course Guide

The City Literary Institute (City Lit) was founded by the London County Council in 1919. It offers thousands of short educational courses for adults in the centre of London. From Arabic to Astronomy, they offer a variety of daytime, evening and weekend courses.

Approached by the director of sales and marketing, the institute’s primary aim was to explore avenues to save money as well as streamline its production processes. Early discussions highlighted that client boxes were being ticked.

The challenge wasn’t so much in fulfilling the project, rather than to assure others associated with the director of sales and marketing that the production process could be made with efficiency and accuracy while reducing costs and delivering a better end product from the content they would be supplying.

With the process agreed and committed, confidence soon increased, fears and worries dispelled, the project was worked through with ease, communication reduced, amendments quickly fulfilled, and the publication delivered to print on time.

The 196pp publication is a regular course guide regularly produced throughout the academic year listing the thousands of courses that City Lit offers adults living in and around London.
